Ex-Jamb official Prof Ojerinde Arrested For embezzling N900m Pencil, Eraser Contract Fraud

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offenses Commission, (ICPC), has captured a Formal Registrar of Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, Professor Dibu Ojerinde, for supposedly plundering over N900 million asset of the Examination Board while in office.

The Formal JAMB Registrar is additionally asserted by ICPC to have granted agreements for the inventory of pencil and eraser at the expense of N450 million each, to Double 07 Concept Limited and Pristine Global Concept Limited, individually, somewhere in the range of 2013 and 2014 while in office.

In an articulation made accessible to newsmen on Wednesday, the ICPC Spokesman, Azuka Ogugua, said Professor Ojerinde was captured on Monday, 15 March, after the commission got a warrant of capture.

Azuka Ogugua revealed that the Formal JAMB Boss, “Prof. Ojerinde, has been kept by the Commission for addressing over claims of numerous personalities, maltreatment of office, illegal tax avoidance, tax avoidance, and offering bogus expressions to public authorities.
