“I’m in pain” – Wumi Toriola breaks down over new movie

Popular Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola has expressed her heartbreak over the lackluster reception of her latest movie, Love Intentional, her first English-language film released on her YouTube channel, Wumi Toriola TV.

Taking to Instagram, the actress shared her frustration and emotional pain in a heartfelt post, lamenting the lack of support from fans and viewers.

In her post, Wumi revealed that despite creating a quality production, viewers have not shown interest in the film.

She questioned whether she should take the movie down, as repeated efforts to draw attention to it have not yielded results.

According to her, this lack of support feels contradictory to the public’s frequent calls for Yoruba actors to expand and grow beyond regional boundaries.

“We made a good movie. And you all refused to see it,” she wrote. “Our first English movie on Wumi Toriola TV… I think we should just bring it down. Some say they can’t find it; I offered a solution—search ‘Love Intentional by Wumi Toriola.’ Still, nothing changed. I am tired. How do we bring more to entertain you? I am heartbroken.”

The actress went on to express her disappointment, noting the challenges Yoruba actors face when transitioning to broader audiences.

Despite her efforts to provide solutions for accessing the movie, the response has left her feeling “tired and heartbroken.”
