113 Nigerians Now Listed for Deportation by U.S. Department of Homeland Security Over Criminal Offences

At least 19 more Nigerians have been added to a United States government list of foreign nationals slated for deportation over criminal offences.

Information obtained on Sunday from the official website of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security indicates that the latest update has pushed the total number of Nigerians scheduled for removal to 113.

The newly added individuals were reportedly convicted of various crimes, including sexual assault involving a minor, fraud, assault, drug trafficking and money laundering.

According to details published on the agency’s platform, the individuals were arrested by officials of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and are expected to be deported to Nigeria upon completion of immigration processes.

The department described those on the list as foreign nationals with criminal records who were taken into custody as part of ongoing enforcement operations.

It also linked the deportation exercise to directives under President Donald Trump, noting that enforcement efforts are prioritising non-citizens convicted of serious crimes.

Among the newly listed Nigerians are Adeolu Solabu, Oladayo Agboola, Chinonso Ochie, Oluchi Jennifer Chimdimma Chime, Samuel Omorodion, Sunday Adediora, Sunday Kunkushi and Mkpouto Etukudoh.

Others include Marcus Unigwe, Kehinde James, Blessing Uchanma, Victor Adebisi, Richard Ugbah, Olaniyi Ojikutu, Oluwamuyiwa Olawoye, Okechukwu Amadi, Femi Jolayemi, Anthony Asanya, Izuchukwu Okoye and Ebele Agbasiele.

The development forms part of a broader move by U.S. authorities targeting undocumented migrants and foreign nationals with criminal convictions.

Earlier, 79 convicted Nigerians were named for deportation following their arrest by immigration officers.

Within three weeks, the figure rose to 113 after the addition of the new names.
