Leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), Julius Malema, on Thursday morning issued a message to supporters reaffirming the party’s ideological stance.
Addressing “Commissars, fighters, ground forces, fellow South Africans, Africans, and diaspora,” Malema urged followers not to compromise their revolutionary ideas for political expediency. He emphasized love and solidarity, encouraging supporters to greet one another with a “revolutionary good morning.”
He also called on supporters to show care to “African children,” a phrase commonly used in South African discourse to include migrants and members of the African diaspora, stating there is still hope because the EFF, described as “a home of the hopeless,” remains active.
The message comes amid ongoing tensions linked to xenophobia and rising public concern over immigration and economic pressure in South Africa.
Malema concluded with a message of resilience, declaring, “We shall overcome, SALUTE.”
