Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, has announced the death of his wife after a long battle with cancer.
Fayose shared the heartbreaking news in an Instagram post on Saturday, expressing deep pain over the loss of his partner.
In the emotional post, he shared a picture of a candlelight with the short message, “Rest in peace, my darling wife,” a statement that drew sympathy from friends, followers and well-wishers on social media. In another post, where he uploaded photos of his late wife, Fayose emotionally bade her farewell with the words, “Odaro oyinbo mi,” expressing his sorrow and love for her.
The businessman and social commentator had earlier opened up in March about his wife’s health condition after travelling to Australia to visit his family.
At the time, Fayose revealed that his wife was seriously ill and growing weaker because of cancer.
He explained that the woman who usually welcomed him warmly at the airport was too weak to come and pick him up during his recent visit.According to him, the illness had changed their daily routine, as he now found himself taking care of her and cooking for her because she could no longer do so herself.
His latest announcement has since sparked reactions online, with many Nigerians sending condolence messages and prayers to him and his family over the painful loss.
