Security Agencies Summon Six Alleged Terror Financiers for Questioning

Nigerian security agencies have invited six individuals suspected of financing terrorist activities to appear for questioning as part of ongoing efforts to dismantle networks that support terrorism and violent extremism.

The invitations follow intelligence reports and financial investigations that allegedly linked the suspects to transactions believed to have aided terrorist groups operating in parts of the country. Authorities said the move is aimed at gathering more information and strengthening ongoing investigations.

Security officials emphasized that the individuals are being questioned and have not been convicted of any crime. They stressed that due process will be followed and that anyone found innocent will be cleared, while those implicated by evidence will face prosecution in accordance with the law.

The development highlights the government’s renewed focus on cutting off financial support for terrorist organizations, with agencies working alongside financial regulators and intelligence units to trace suspicious transactions and disrupt funding channels.

Authorities urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious financial activities, reaffirming their commitment to improving national security and bringing anyone involved in financing terrorism to justice.
