The West African College of Physicians (WACP) has announced a free medical outreach for 500 residents of Oyo State as part of activities marking its 50th anniversary.
The outreach is aimed at improving access to quality healthcare by offering free medical consultations, health screenings, and treatment for residents, particularly those who may not be able to afford routine medical services.
According to the College, the initiative reflects its long-standing commitment to advancing healthcare delivery and promoting disease prevention across West Africa.
The medical outreach will also create awareness about healthy living while encouraging early detection and treatment of common health conditions.
Speaking on the anniversary celebration, WACP officials described the milestone as an opportunity to reflect on five decades of excellence in medical education, specialist training, and healthcare development in the region.
The College reaffirmed its dedication to strengthening healthcare systems through continuous professional development, research, and community-focused initiatives that improve the wellbeing of people across West Africa.
