Nigeria’s New Ambassador Presents Credentials to Israeli President Isaac Herzog

The Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Nigeria’s newly appointed Ambassador to Israel, Nkechi Linda Ufochukwu, officially presented her Letters of Credence to Isaac Herzog on Monday, August 3, 2026, during a formal ceremony held in Jerusalem.

The presentation of Letters of Credence officially recognizes Ambassador Ufochukwu as Nigeria’s accredited representative to the State of Israel, empowering her to strengthen diplomatic relations and promote cooperation between both countries.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the ceremony marks an important milestone in Nigeria’s diplomatic engagement with Israel and reaffirms the country’s commitment to fostering stronger ties in areas such as trade, agriculture, technology, education, security, and cultural exchange.

Ambassador Ufochukwu is expected to work closely with Israeli authorities to deepen bilateral relations while advancing Nigeria’s foreign policy objectives and protecting the interests of Nigerians living and working in Israel.
