Six-year-old Nigerian mathematics prodigy Ugwoezuonu Ogechi Zara has earned national recognition after achieving a perfect 100% score in the primary category of the National Mathematics Competition (NMC) organised by the Mathematics Association of Nigeria (MAN).

Zara’s exceptional performance earned her a full scholarship valued at ₦21 million, which will cover six years of her education at Evergreen College in Enugu State.

The remarkable achievement was announced by education activist and Educare Chief Executive Officer Alex Onyia, who shared the news on X on May 17, 2024. He highlighted Zara’s perfect score and described the scholarship as a reward for her outstanding performance.
