Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, has reaffirmed the country’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Portugal during her official visit to the European nation.
The minister held high-level meetings with Portuguese government officials aimed at deepening cooperation in key areas, including trade, investment, education, security, and cultural exchange. She emphasized Nigeria’s desire to build stronger diplomatic and economic partnerships that will benefit both countries.
As part of her visit, Ambassador Odumegwu-Ojukwu also met with members of the Nigerian community in Portugal, where she commended their contributions to the country’s development and encouraged them to continue being good ambassadors of Nigeria abroad.
She assured Nigerians in the diaspora of the Federal Government’s commitment to protecting their interests and creating more opportunities for engagement, while reaffirming Nigeria’s resolve to foster closer relations with Portugal through sustained dialogue and collaboration.
