Carla Jeffery, the actress best known for playing Bree Prattle in Disney Channel’s Zombies franchise, has died at the age of 33.

Jeffery died on September 1, 2026, according to a statement released by her longtime talent management company, Alexanders Talent Management, and shared on social media. Her cause of death has not been disclosed.

In its emotional statement, the management company described Jeffery as a “beautiful, vibrant, and incredibly talented woman” whose radiant smile could light up any room. The agency also said she had been part of its family for more than 20 years, having joined at just 12 years old.

“As Bree in Disney’s hit Zombies franchise, Carla shared her joy, humor and bright spirit with audiences around the world,” the statement said, while asking the public to respect her family’s privacy as they mourn her death.

Jeffery gained widespread recognition through the Zombies movies, where she portrayed Bree, a cheerful cheerleader and friend of the main character, Addison. She appeared in the first three films — Zombies (2018), Zombies 2 (2020) and Zombies 3 (2022) — and also voiced Bree in Zombies: The Re-Animated Series.

Beyond the Zombies franchise, Jeffery had an acting career that began when she was only 12. Her early work included a role in Phat Girlz in 2006, followed by appearances in television productions including Curb Your Enthusiasm, Shake It Up, Good Luck Charlie, Suburgatory, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Scream Queens.

News of her death has sparked an outpouring of tributes from fans and former colleagues. Her Zombies co-stars remembered her for her warmth, positivity and personality.

Milo Manheim described Jeffery as “the sweetest, kindest, most loving person,” while Chandler Kinney paid tribute to her vibrant personality and said the news did not feel real. Trevor Tordjman also remembered her energy and described her as someone truly one of a kind.

Jeffery’s death comes after more than two decades in the entertainment industry.

Her management team said she was much more than a client to them, describing her as family and remembering the joy and light she brought to those around her.

Her family and loved ones are now mourning the loss of an actress whose work, particularly in Disney’s Zombies franchise, made her familiar to audiences around the world.
