Funke Akindele’s ‘the four’ to make history as first nollywood film to premiere at odeon luxe leicester square
Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele is set to make history with her forthcoming movie, The Four: No One Fights Alone, which will become the first Nollywood production to premiere at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square in London.

Akindele announced the milestone in a post shared on X on Monday, November 2, 2026, describing the upcoming premiere as a significant moment for Nigerian cinema.
According to the filmmaker, the cast of The Four: No One Fights Alone will occupy the Royal Booth during the November 29 premiere.
She revealed that the booth previously hosted the King during the premiere of Gladiator, with Princess Catherine occupying seat 18 and the King seated in seat 19.
Akindele said the cast of The Four would sit in the same seats during their London premiere, describing the opportunity as a historic achievement for the production and Nollywood.
She also highlighted Odeon Luxe Leicester Square as one of London’s largest and most prestigious cinema venues, further underscoring the importance of the film’s international premiere.
The Four: No One Fights Alone is scheduled to premiere in the United Kingdom on November 29, 2026, before opening in cinemas across Nigeria on December 11, 2026.
