Ghana-based businessman Igbasan joins Tinubu’s 2027 Presidential Campaign Council

Ghana-based businessman and youth leader, Olatunde Gideon Igbasan, has been inaugurated as a member of the Youth Mobilisation Directorate of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 Presidential Campaign Council.

Igbasan, popularly known as Tula Mania, was inaugurated at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, following the formal inauguration of the APC Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He currently serves as the Director-General of the APC Youth Network West Africa and is also the President of Sewia Mining Limited, a Ghana-based precious-metals company. His activities include business, youth mobilisation and humanitarian initiatives across Nigeria and other West African countries.

Through the APC Youth Network West Africa, Igbasan has focused on youth engagement, grassroots mobilisation, student welfare and community support. The organisation has structures and activities in Nigeria, Ghana, Togo and Côte d’Ivoire.

One of its major initiatives is a weekly Friday food outreach at its national secretariat in Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos. According to the organisation, the programme provides meals and food items to more than 1,000 people and young Nigerians each week.

Igbasan has also supported Nigerian students in both Nigeria and Ghana. He reportedly committed ₦15 million towards student development, with ₦10 million allocated to the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) in Nigeria and ₦5 million to NANS in Ghana.

The commitment followed an engagement with student leaders and Sewia Mining Limited in Accra, where student representatives also received exposure to aspects of the precious-metals industry, including gold processing and refining.

His appointment places him within the APC’s youth mobilisation structure as the ruling party prepares for the 2027 presidential election. His responsibilities are expected to involve youth mobilisation and grassroots engagement as the campaign gathers momentum.

Meanwhile, the APC Youth Network West Africa is scheduled to inaugurate its National Secretariat in Agidingbi, Lagos, on Saturday, October 17, 2026.

Igbasan’s inclusion in the campaign council further highlights his growing involvement in political youth mobilisation and community engagement across West Africa as the APC works to secure President Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
