I Take Care of All My Kids, Despite Knowing All of them aren’t Mine – Diamond Platnumz Opens Up
Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz has given fans a rare glimpse into his personal life, speaking candidly about fatherhood, his relationships with his baby mamas, and the complexities that come with raising children in the spotlight.
In a recent conversation that quickly went viral, the award-winning singer admitted that while he’s a father to several children, not all of them may be biologically his ,but that hasn’t stopped him from stepping up and providing for them.
“First of all, I know I have kids. But I also know that some are not my kids,” Diamond said. “But I don’t want to argue with the mother and all that… I take care of them.”
Pressed to confirm the number of children he has, the Bongo Flava icon responded vaguely, “Four to five, no, five, four or five or six. You know, as I say, like, these things sometimes can get cr@zy.”
Despite the uncertainty, he was clear about one thing: his commitment to being a present and supportive father. “I really try my level best to make sure that I take good care of them.”
Diamond also opened up about his dynamic with his former partners, emphasizing that there is no bad blood between them. “I’m very cool with all my baby mamas. They love me, I don’t lie to you. Like, I’m a good person to them.”
However, the Jeje hitmaker admitted that things aren’t always smooth, especially with the men in his baby mamas’ lives. “Sometimes their men, they get mad at me… thinking maybe we have something. No, we don’t. We got nothing going on.”
When asked if he thought he could rekindle any of those old flames if he wanted to, Diamond cheekily responded, “Definitely,” before quickly clarifying, “No, no, no… It’s not that way.”
The father-of-multiple also emphasized the importance of being respectful and maintaining peaceful co-parenting relationships. “You can be cool with the mother of your kids, no matter the circumstances,” he said.
