Former President Goodluck Jonathan is scheduled to unveil a tricycle manufacturing and assembly factory operated by Zeetin Technologies in Abuja on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

The factory, located in the Idu Industrial Area of the Federal Capital Territory, assembles and distributes the VZ150 and VZ200 tricycles in Nigeria.
According to a statement by the company’s management, the establishment of the facility is aimed at boosting Nigeria’s economy through local production of tricycles and related products.
The statement, signed by Zeetin Technologies Chairman, Robert Azibaola, explained that the company’s vision is to provide products designed to support the success of Nigerians who purchase and use its brand.
Azibaola disclosed that the company assembles the VZ150 and VZ200 tricycles in Abuja through a technical partnership with VIAR Motor Indonesia, a manufacturer with more than 30 years of experience in three-wheeler engineering.
He explained that local production would make it easier and more affordable for small businesses to transport goods and people across the country.
According to him, tricycles play an important role in Nigeria’s economy, serving market traders, farmers transporting produce, artisans, distributors and commuters.
The company chairman emphasised that manufacturing the vehicles locally would create jobs and retain more economic value within Nigeria.
He noted that the factory employs technicians trained at VIAR’s facilities in Semarang, Indonesia, alongside Nigerian workers in quality control, planning, sales and after-sales services.
The facility is also expected to support a growing network of dealers, service workshops and spare-parts traders, creating additional economic opportunities.
Azibaola revealed that the first tricycles assembled at the factory would be handed over to their owners during the official launch.
He added that the company’s long-term plans include increasing local content by manufacturing more components in Nigeria and eventually introducing compressed natural gas-powered and electric tricycle models.
According to him, these developments would help transform the Abuja facility from an assembly plant into a broader manufacturing industry serving Nigerian consumers and businesses.
The initiative represents an effort to strengthen domestic manufacturing, support small businesses and create employment opportunities through industrial development.
