Fenerbahçe coach, Jose Mourinho, received a four-match ban and a fine of over 40,000 euros from the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) after making controversial comments following an Istanbul derby against Galatasaray.

After the 0-0 draw, Mourinho said the Galatasaray bench was “jumping like monkeys.” He also continued to criticize Turkish referees. Although Fenerbahçe claimed Mourinho’s comments were taken out of context, the TFF disciplinary council gave him a two-match suspension for criticizing the fourth referee and an additional two matches for his remark about the Galatasaray bench.
