The Federal Government has declared Tuesday, May 27, 2025, as a public holiday in honour of this year’s Children’s Day celebration.

Although an official announcement was yet to be released at the time of filing this report, authoritative sources within the Ministry of Interior confirmed to our correspondent that the declaration would be made public later today.

“It’s already been approved. The Minister will issue a formal statement shortly. All arrangements have been concluded to mark May 27 as a work-free day across the country,” a senior official at the ministry, who declined to be named, said.
