LAGOS GOVT CALLS FOR STRONGER FIRE SAFETY CULTURE AT LIFSC 3.0

The Lagos State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to improving fire safety standards across the state, urging residents, property owners, and businesses to embrace a stronger culture of prevention and safety.

Representing Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu as the keynote speaker at the Lagos International Fire Safety Conference (LIFSC) 3.0, the government stressed that preventing fire disasters requires collective responsibility and proactive action from all stakeholders.

 

Speaking on the conference theme, “Preventing the Preventable: Strengthening Fire Safety in Buildings and Business Hubs,” the representative highlighted the importance of adopting effective fire prevention measures, enforcing safety regulations, and increasing public awareness to reduce fire-related incidents.

The Lagos State Government noted that safeguarding lives, protecting property, and ensuring business continuity depend on a shared commitment to fire safety.

It called on individuals, organisations, and communities to make safety a daily priority by complying with fire safety standards and promoting best practices.

The conference brought together government officials, safety experts, emergency responders, and industry stakeholders to discuss practical strategies for strengthening fire prevention and building a safer Lagos for everyone.
