President Tinubu Swears In Joseph Tegbe as New Minister of Power

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially sworn in Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe as Nigeria’s new Minister of Power, following the resignation of former minister Adebayo Adelabu, who left office to pursue his political ambition ahead of the 2027 elections.

The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. At the same event, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye was sworn in as the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs after the resignation of Yusuf Tuggar.

Both appointments were approved by the Senate before the oath of office was administered.

Joseph Tegbe, an indigene of Oyo State, is a seasoned economist, fiscal and institutional reform expert with more than 35 years of experience in both the public and private sectors.

President Tinubu urged the new ministers to serve with dedication and help advance his administration’s goals of improving electricity supply, strengthening Nigeria’s foreign relations, and driving economic growth.

The appointments are part of the administration’s efforts to fill cabinet vacancies and strengthen key ministries as the government continues implementing its reform agenda.
