Rwandan gospel singer Gogo Gloriose, who recently rose to fame on TikTok, has passed away at the age of 36.
Gloriose gained widespread recognition after her soul-stirring song “Everyday, I Need Blood of Jesus” went viral on social media, with fans praising her powerful voice and deep devotion to faith.The song became a sensation, though some listeners humorously misheard the chorus as “Everyday I need Burundi.”
Her manager, Bikem Uwayesu, confirmed her death in a statement shared on social media. He described Gloriose as “a passionate servant of God whose ministry touched and transformed lives across Rwanda, East Africa, and beyond.”Reports indicate that the singer died in Kampala, Uganda, after a sudden illness. She had traveled to the country for a series of gospel engagements, including a crusade in Mbarara, promotional appearances, and a scheduled TikTok live show with Ugandan singer Bruno K.
Bruno K also mourned her passing, writing that Gloriose was “a talented artist whose ministry and music brought hope and comfort to many.”News of her death has sparked an outpouring of grief across social media, with fans sharing tributes, clips of her performances, and personal stories of how her music helped them through difficult times.
