Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, in his effort to boost the state’s aviation infrastructure and hospitality services, has officially commissioned the newly-constructed, state of the art Protocol Lounge at the Chinua Achebe International Airport located in Umueri, Anambra East.

The Lounge is part of the ongoing development of the airport aimed at enhancing passenger experience and positioning Anambra as a key destination in Nigeria’s aviation landscape.

The edifice according to the Governor is geared towards providing comfort, exclusivity, and high-end services to dignitaries, government officials, business travellers, and other Very Important Personalities (VIPs) that will use the facility.

Governor Soludo who spoke at the commissioning ceremony cited the lounge as part of his administration’s commitment to elevating the standards of public facilities in the state.

He observed that the facility will not only enhance visitors’ experience, but will also reflect the hospitality and progressiveness of Anambra State.

The Governor added: “The airport and associated amenities are vital catalysts for economic growth, tourism, and investment attraction.”

The Commissioner for Transportation, Barr. Patricia Igwebuike in his remarks hailed Governor Soludo for prioritizing infrastructural development in the state.

She said that the lounge is expected to increase traffic and improve the airport’s competitiveness within the region.

The new modern Protocol Lounge is equipped with state-of-the-art furnishings and dedicated security arrangements to ensure a serene and safe environment for users.
