A team of outstanding students from Southeast Nigeria has reached the Grand Finals of the International STEM Olympiad, proudly representing Nigeria on the global stage at the Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma in Italy.

According to the post shared by Afia TV, the students are competing in the Science and Mathematics categories, showcasing their academic excellence and innovative thinking alongside participants from different countries.

The atmosphere at the competition venue was described as energetic and inspiring, with supervisors and mentors—including Alex Onyia, Anthony Iwegbu, and Chisom Unachukwu—encouraging the students and highlighting the importance of preparation, teamwork, and determination.

The mentors expressed optimism about the team’s performance, noting that the event is more than just a competition. They described it as a celebration of talent, hard work, and the opportunities that arise when young minds are given the right support.
