EU foreign ministers will hold an emergency meeting on Sunday to discuss the crisis, the bloc’s chief diplomat said.

Kaja Kallas said she would convene an emergency video meeting of the foreign affairs council “to address Iran and the rapidly unfolding events across the Middle East”.

“The Iranian regime’s indiscriminate attacks against its neighbours carry the risk of dragging the region into a broader war,” she added.
