US envoy Waltz invites Nicki Minaj to discuss ‘protection of persecuted Christians in Nigeria’
Nicki Minaj has been invited by Mike Waltz, the US ambassador to the UN, to participate in a conversation on protecting persecuted Christians.
Nicki Minaj’s post criticizing the purported persecution of Christians in Nigeria prompted the invitation.
According to ZINGTIE, this follows US President Donald Trump’s designation of Nigeria as a “country of particular concern, CPC” due to claims of Christian genocide by Islamist organizations there.
The US Department of War was also instructed by Trump to get ready for “possible action” against Islamic militants in Nigeria.
Nicky Minaj, a 12-time Grammy nominee, responded to Trump’s statement on X by praising the US’s experiences with religious freedom and denouncing the persecution of Christians in Nigeria.
Mike Waltz responded by inviting the artist to speak and thanking her for utilizing her platform to support Christians.
Mike Waltz said “I would love to speak with you in more depth about what our administration is doing to protect Christians’ freedoms all over the world.
“We can’t allow this to continue. Every sister and brother of Christ must band together and say, “Enough!”, he stated.
