Egypt backs its man to beat Motsepe for CAF presidency

Egypt is backing its candidate to challenge Patrice Motsepe for the presidency of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in the upcoming elections .

While I couldn’t find the name of Egypt’s candidate, this move indicates a strong desire to lead African football.

The current president, Patrice Motsepe, has been instrumental in recognizing outstanding contributions to African football. For instance, he conferred the CAF President’s Outstanding Achievement Award 2022 to President Paul Kagame of Rwanda and King Mohammed VI of Morocco for their significant support and contributions to football development
