The Member of Parliament for Salaga-South Constituency, Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, has announced the supply of 500 streetlights for installation in communities across the constituency to boost security and enhance public safety.
The initiative forms part of her broader infrastructure drive aimed at improving living conditions and promoting development within Salaga-South.
The streetlight intervention follows an earlier Ramadan gesture in which 650 bags of sugar were distributed to party branches, youth and women groups, the underprivileged, traditional authorities, opinion leaders, and religious leaders throughout the constituency.
The items were presented as part of efforts to support Muslim faithful during the holy month and to extend assistance to vulnerable groups within the area.
At the brief presentation ceremony, the Salaga-South Municipal Chief Executive, Kassim Yazid Rabiu, together with the Constituency Chairman, Haruna Abdul Aziz, commended the Member of Parliament for her consistent commitment to the welfare and progress of the constituency.
In her address, Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah indicated that the holy month of Ramadan teaches sacrifice, togetherness, and empathy, urging residents to uphold these values beyond the fasting period. She prayed for Allah’s blessings upon the faithful, asking for peace in homes and strengthened unity across Salaga-South.
She reiterated that representing and serving the people of Salaga-South remains her highest privilege and assured constituents of her unwavering dedication to advancing development in the area.
