I Feel Old Despite Being Born In 2002,” Ayra Starr Admits Exhaustion From Hectic Schedule
Afrobeats sensation Ayra Starr has voiced her concerns about the toll her demanding schedule is taking on her physical appearance and overall well-being.
Despite being born in 2002, the singer revealed that she feels “old” compared to individuals born in the 1990s, who appear more youthful and energetic.
In an interview with Rode in Nairobi, Kenya, Starr candidly discussed how her workload has impacted her.
“I have met people who were born in the 90s and they’re so vibrant and so young. I’m old and I was just born in 2002,” she said with a touch of humor. The rising star added, “I want to stay home, I want to sleep.”
Reflecting on her creative process, Starr explained that as she continues to make music, she gains more clarity about her artistic direction.
“I feel like the more I make music, the more I recognize what my path is and what I’m trying to do,” she shared.
Ayra Starr, known for her hit songs and vibrant performances, is quickly becoming one of the most talked-about young artists in the Afrobeats scene, but her remarks highlight the personal challenges that come with fame and a hectic schedule.
