Several Nigerian football enthusiasts have besieged the social handles of new Super Eagles head coach Bruno Labbadia, tasking him with World Cup qualification,
The German being chosen among some notable tacticians has been the talking point in Nigerian football since Monday, when the Nigeria Football Federation announced him as the much-awaited successor to Finidi George, who quit the saddle in June after the NFF revealed plans to hire a foreign coach.
The Super Eagles are in their most vulnerable state in the last two decades, having recently capitulated against Benin Republic in Ivory Coast. This leaves Labbadia with onerous tasks, which include qualifying for the next World Cup.
Already angered by the NFF’s lackadaisical approach to hiring a coach for the team with 2025 AFCON qualifiers at the corner, Nigerians warn no excuse will be tenable if the country fails to secure a ticket to the Mundial.
World Cup is a must,” warns Timo_sterling.
Mike Olu charges him to qualify for the World Cup and also win it: “Welcome to the Super Eagles.. Goodluck. Take us to the World Cup and win it.”
je_riq warns, “No com do anyhow. We are crazy, oh. Mk ur mind, Dey.”
