Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu is personally funding the construction of a modern health centre valued at approximately $450,000 in his hometown of Amakohia, Owerri West, Imo State.
The Trabzonspor forward, who initiated the project during a recent visit to Nigeria, said the facility is designed to address longstanding healthcare gaps in an area where access to quality medical services has remained limited.
Once completed, the centre will include consultation rooms, a fully equipped laboratory, a pharmacy and basic emergency care units.
Plans are also in place to recruit qualified medical personnel to ensure sustainable operations.The project is currently in its early construction phase.
Residents and supporters have praised the initiative, describing it as a transformative development for grassroots healthcare in Imo State.
Beyond his record as a prolific striker, Onuachu has built a growing reputation as a socially conscious figure committed to giving back to his community.
