Global music icon Burna Boy is making his debut as an Executive Producer in the film world, and Uganda is proudly on the credits list.
The highly anticipated feature film, “Three Cold Dishes”, set to premiere in cinemas in November 2025, will feature music crafted by acclaimed Ugandan sound producer Andrew Ahuurra of Quad-A. between Andrew and Nissi (Burna Boy’s sister)
The announcement was made on Quad-A’s social media, where the team expressed their excitement about the international collaboration:
“We are delighted to share our collaboration with @nissination, the music supervisor, and @burnaboygram in crafting the music for ‘Three Cold Dishes,’ which will be premiering in cinemas this November 2025,” it was revealed.
“This marks Burna Boy’s debut feature film, directed by the talented @iamasurf and produced by @asurffilms. We eagerly anticipate sharing the music and the audio post-production work we did on this project.”
Andrew Ahuurra, who has steadily built a reputation as one of East Africa’s most innovative sound designers, brings his touch to the film’s musical identity, aligning perfectly with his team’s mantra: ‘REBRANDING AFRICA THROUGH SOUND’
