‘We’ll do everything’ – Atalanta president gives update on Lookman’s future

Atalanta president Antonio Percassi has given an update on Ademola Lookman’s future amid transfer rumours.
This season, Lookman has been playing brilliantly for Atalanta, and his outstanding performances have raised questions regarding his future with the team.

The winger has been linked with a move away from the Italian giants, with the likes of PSG and Arsenal monitoring his situation

Lookman has not yet received an offer for a new contract extension with Atalanta, and his current one expires in June 2026.

Percassi speaks on Lookman’s future
Percassi has stated that although Atalanta is eager to retain Lookman, they will not prevent him from leaving the team.

According to reports from Corriere Della Sera, he said, “We’ll do everything, but he must not stay against his will. After all, we have already replaced Zapata, Muriel and Gomez.”

Despite his comment, Percassi is still looking to keep Lookman at the club beyond this summer.

Since moving to Atalanta from RB Leipzig in 2022, Lookman has been a revelation, becoming one of Serie A’s best players.

He has made 26 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring 14 goals and providing seven assists.

Despite his impressive season, it remains to be seen if he will be at the club beyond this summer.
