South African rapper Cassper Nyovest and his wife, Pulane, are currently celebrating their one-year wedding anniversary.

Nyovest took to social media to reflect on their first year of marriage, writing:

“Can’t believe it’s been a year already since I got married to my person. Ngwanyana wa Motswana wa sematsatsa!!!  Ous Mpopi! Kea go rata saan.

“Commonly, when one reflects on a full year of a relationship, there’s a lot of pain and trauma to mention. We have had our fair share.”

He noted, however, that he didn’t want to dwell on the challenges of marriage, but rather on the positives.

“I don’t want to reflect on that though. What I want to talk about today is the fact that you gave me a chance to be with the woman I loved most,” he said.

“I was the happiest man alive the day you said ‘yes’ and agreed to be my wife. I will never forget what a privilege it is that you afforded me.

“You had a choice, and you chose to give me a chance. I hope you never regret it. I hope to make you laugh and smile daily until the Lord takes me.”

Nyovest added that while he may not know what true love is supposed to look like, he has no plans of giving up on their love.

“I don’t know what true love is meant to look like, but one thing I’m very certain of is that I plan on never giving up, never walking out on us, and never calling another woman my wife or my woman. I’m doing this marriage thing one time, and one time only!!! Happy one-year anniversary, babe.”
